Ok, here's the deal. I have a movie that is over 700MB and I want to drop the size to less than 700MB to fit to CD-R. Normally this is not a problem but I'm getting an error when open the AVI saying something about an improper VBR and it will be converted to CBR. The file still opens though. I try to run a "Normal Recompress". And that is where the problem begins. I set up just fine and start running the program, then I get this:
Error decompressing video frame 11263
An unknown error occured (file may be corrupt)
(error code -100)
I know my file is messed up but how do I fix it?
This is what I've tried: DivFix v1.10 and DivX Repair v1.0.1.
I've tried to strip and rebuild the index with both. Either way I have no luck.
As a final note. I didn't encode it myself, it came from another source but I've had this happen with one's I've encoded myself.
HELP ME! Is there something I'm missing or didn't try. Or is this even fixable. I can still watch the movies, just not recompress.
