    problem: Divx Codec+Quicktime 6.3

Hi! Here's the problem, a few months ago, I was able to play all my AVIs (divx codec) movies in Quicktime 6.0, but since I've installed Quicktime 6.3, it did not read the codec that is always installed. I've reinstalled QT6 and the codec too, but nothing, always 'Unsupported format'. I don't think the problem is in the QT version, but where I messed up? please help me, I'm sure it's a dumbass problem thanks!

Maybe not an aswer but if it's just a segmet your after, use Virtualdub

Oen your avi and set a "start" and "end" point.
        Then set video to "Directstreamcopy"

Finally, goto "File/Save as" and save under a different filename.

        Not so sure about Quicktime.
