    ClassFactory Error

I'm having the same problem you had with playing xvid movies...What did you eventually do to get it to work?

Right now, when I try to play one, all I get is a:
    "ClassFactory cannot supply requested class"
error message in Windows Media Player 8.

I currently have Directx 9.0a installed, and I'm pretty sure that both Divx 5.03 and Xvid are installed as well...

    Thanks

I posted in the wrong place...

I started off, responding to someone in another forum...But I wasn't registered...

By tthe time I was registered, I lost the thread I was going to post to, but I had "Ctrl-C"'d the text I was going to post, just in case I might lose it...

I then started a new thread, and simply "Ctrl-V"'d the text into the new thread...

So, you see, it really doesn't matter who I was responding to. What is important, is whether or not anyone understands my problem...

Xvid movies used to play, but they don't anymore...

I get an error when I try to play them in windows media player that says "ClassFactory cannot supply the requested class"

Anyone know how to fix this?
