    XviD Sound Problems...hehe.

Hi, I've read various topics here about people who looked in VirtualDub and seen the "Audio: Compression Stream: Unknown (tag 2000)". I have the same problem and did install AC3 codecs. Now, the background sound and music etcetera works prefectly. The only problem is that the human voices arent being played, so I'm limited to watching a silent movie.

    Any suggestions would be helpful

I suppose you play sound with a 2-speakers system.
what ac3 codec do you use? try ac3filter and select "2/0 - stereo" from main->output->speakers.

        Re: Centre Speaker Missing

        Hi Trin,

        Try this:

        1. Uninstall All Sound Codecs, Then Drivers.
        2. Reinstall All Sound Drivers, Select 5.1 Speakers & Reboot.
        3. Reinstall All Sound Codecs.
        4. Open AC3Filter, Select 3/2+SW 5.1 Channels, PCM 16bit (In Main),
3/2+SW 5.1 Channels in Mixer, Untick All Options except Auto Gain Control,
        Select 1 for each speaker, i.e. L = L' = 1, C = C' = 1, all others should be 0.
        5. Click OK, then start up surround sound Divx Movie (Do Not Reboot).
