Maybe someone here has heard of this. When I play xvid encoded files, sometimes I get a yellowish or greenish "shadow" of recent frames shifted to the left of the image. This doesn't happen always, only sometimes. Not even with the same file - sometimes a file will work properly, sometimes it won't - it always works right after I reboot, but after that, it's a toss-up, but this problem only occurrs with xvid-encoded files. If I open the file in VirtualDub while the other players aren't working, VirtualDub renders the image properly; it obviously bypasses the process with the fault in it. It would appear that it has something to do with a program that I have running or some file loaded into memory at the time.
