    Permanent Subtitle

I am buying a DVD Player that support Divx/Xvid play back but at present none support chinese subtitles. I wonder if anyone in the forum
know how to place permanent chinese subtitle in the Divx/Xvid
movies so I could have it shown in the player.

English is possible but GB or Big 5 is another matter.

Is there a web site that provide such guides?

I await your replies in anticipaton.

One method is to use FlaskMpeg... not a fool-proof way though and it may crash.

      To WildmanJoe

While you certainly CAN use Flask to CREATE a DivX or XviD-compressed .AVI (from a full DVD) including permanent subtitles, you can't use Flask to "place permanent chinese subtitle in the Divx/Xvid", which I interpret to mean an already existing DivX or XviD-compressed .AVI...

Gordian Knot should have the facilities to do this. Check out the guides at Doom9.
