It started with a new file i downloaded that had this kind of static noise. So i uninstalled all of nimo which worked perfect with all the other avi's and installed ffdshow and various audio codecs. Now ALL my avi's have this crackling sound, even a little more than before. Neither mp3's or wav files has this problem.
EDIT: Movies over 600 mb have this problem too but not nearly as much as the ones i'm describing (150-250 mb files)
EDIT 2: Ok the static is gone after i installed the tsunami codec pack. However, now some of the avi's are at a higher pitch than before. That and they seem to play faster. Could someone help me with that instead.
