    Recompression

I just bought a Divx player recently but like many player, I have encountered problems playing Div3.11 movies which was encoded beyond 800 kpbs. To rectify this problems, I tried recompress the files to Divx 5.05 and still having some problems like freezing and skipping frames. Could anyone tell me what have gone wrong? Is there any tutorials I can find in the net on this?

BTW, how do you convert a Div3 files to XVID
as this codec is very well supported by the standalone player? I am new to encoding and would appreciate some help can be provided.

    Thanks in advance!

      Hello,

use the Programm TMPGenc. But carefull, this is Shareware . U can use the MPG2 for only 30 Days. MPG1 is for unlimeted.
But I don't know, it's fix your Problem. This Programm is to change from DivX to VCD or SVCD.
