elta 8882 - few general questions

these player seems to be good deal. but, before i buy it, i have some questions for owners.

-what about macrovision?
-how are mp3 files displayed? 8.3 format, 16 characters or full lenght name (a'la cyberhome dvds)?
-is the player compatible with divx 3.11 with this new firmware?

hi!

i bought this player about two weeks ago.

- can't tell you about macrovision, never tried that.

- mp3s are displayed full length, the quality is good, but you can't select single subfolders. with about 100 tracks on one cd scrolling the entire list can be quite tiring!

- since firmware 1.0.0.6 it DOES PLAY divx 3.11, but some scenes (with much fast movement) look quite like a slideshow...i hope this will be corrected in a future firmware. at the moment i'd recommend converting the movie to divx 4 or 5 before burning to cd. (with virtualdub this can be done quite fast, i just converted a 2cd-movie in about an hour)
