We need a LOT more information to even begin to explore the possible solution (if we can find the cause at all)

Do you have this problem with all your moviez
Do you have the same problem in another player
Which codecs do you have installed
    What are you system specs
What are the properties of the movie
    which OS

Try to give as much relevant information as you can and also what you have already tried

    So ......................... see you back?

Problem is not with all moviez only certain ones at certain points in playback,

Same problem occurs with various players, suspect something to do with codec.

How do I find out what codecs are installed as I have installed many over a period of time?

      Abit KT7A Motherboard
      AMD Thunderbird 1.3GHz
      Geforce GTS 2 pro 64MB
      1GB of Ram
      60GB hardisk.

How do I find properties of the movie?

      Windows XP.

Thanks For replying, does this info give you any clues?

First thing that pops into my mind is that you have installed divx 4.12 and answered YES to the question if you want 4.12 also to play the 3.11 moviez
This is known to give problems

One way of finding out the properties of the movie is rightclick on the file and choose properties
a new window will show up and you select details.............there you will find the audio and video

This is exactly the same copy i have

It is an alpha 3.11 movie and it plays fine on my system

One thing you can do (never hurts to do this for EVERY movie) is to check it for freezing/bad frames
You do this with a modified version of VDub (VirtualDub-mp3-freeze)
This way you know for sure that this isn't causing you any problems

As far as the Yes or No:
I don't know how to check it.
What you can do is UNINSTALL divx 4.12 (safe it for when you come across a movie which needs the 4.02 or higher)

Hopefully now your movie doesn't play jerky; if it doesn't play at all ............ reïnstall 3.11 (preferably together with a codec pack)

            succes
