    Green screen in BSPlayer

Today, playback in BSPlayer stopped working. THe screen is almost completely obscured by green bars. Other Players (DivX Player, Media Player Classic) work fine, but I would like to be able to use BSPlayer again. I just installed the new version of Gordion Knot, as well as the most recent codec pack, including DivX 5.1 Pro. I suspect this might have something to do with the problem. Is there anyway to change the configuration of the player to make it work again?

Thanks in advance for any help

    no .......

this has nothing to with your player configuration....
you might meet a codec or codec related direct show
    conflict
if you want to use divx 5.1 furthermore.....
deinstall all prior divx codecs or divx direct show codecs as well as hacked divx codecs and try again....

do not deinstall xvid or ffdshow (just disable ffdshow
    to decode divx)

    if this does not work
make sure to have your display settings set to overlay
and of 24 bits color depth at least....

      Thanks for your help.

I tried uninstalling all my codecs and then reinstalling Gknot with only the codecs supplied by the codec pack. Still had same problem. I then messed with the video preferences in BSPlayer. By deactivating the "Use Overlay" feature, I got it up and running again. I don't know what this means, but my files are playing like they used to. Good luck to anyone with the same/similar problem.
