XVID file plays in slow motion

Hey I downloaded a movie the other day and its a XVID, .avi file
I downloaded FFDshow (libavcodec verision 0.4.6) and Ac3filter(v. 0.70b) for it
yet when I play the file in either WMP or DIVX player (newest verisions for both of them) the sounds seems to work but the movie is going in really really slow motion
is there a way to fix this?

Can you post the file information of the particular file (using Virtualdub or GSpot)?

This is a problem due to a bad ffdshow filter included in the Nimo pack which is unable to play XVid encoded videos properly. This problem needs to be rectified by uninstalling the Nimo pack, installing the pack again but instead leave the ffdshow filter out, and then install a working version of the ffdshow filter from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow
or elsewhere.

I got this info from http://nimo.titanesk.com. It worked for me but you have to be careful installing other codecs etc after this otherwise the same problem may occur again.
