i've looked over a couple pages before posting, but it's not a problem with the player it seems.
my initial problem was because i was getting no audio during playback, which i solved with installing/uninstalling a codec pack several times until audio was resolved. during the process, i also tried uninstalling divx/xvid codecs in case those were part of the problem.
once i fixed the sound and reinstalled the video codecs, i noticed that my xvid playback was noticeably darker as if the brightness setting was turned all the way down. when i increase brightness, the screen becomes brown and the picture quality is still horrible.
i've tried several builds of the xvid codec but the problem persists, i hope that someone on this board might have some helpful information for me.
