Extracting Matroska Audio back to mp3/ogg

Can someone help me please. I have a mkv file with 2 audio channels, one is no good to me the other is...

I want to extract the good audio channel back to a standard mp3 to place back into the already re-extracted video file that is now a standard xvid/avi.

When I use mkvtools I never get a useable file and if i try VirtualDubMod then I get a file that is only a third of the size it should be.

    Any ideas are welcome..

    Regards,

In the mkvtoolnix package there comes a program called mkvextract.exe ....

Hey, dont be sad. The only reason I changed from matroska was due to the fact that DVD2SVCD doesnt support mkv yet...

otherwise it would have been fine as a mkv m8 !
