    Codec reset...

Since nobody seems to know what happend with my computer, i just wondered if there is a way to reset all codec currently installed, except "format c:"...
If the answer is to remove the codecs from the control panel, which codec is the best to re-install the computer with?

Will i be sure that all coedecs will be removed if i use the control panel and remove the installed codecs?

    Regards

"which codec is the best to re-install the computer with?"

Whatever you know you need. Throw out the rest.

"Will i be sure that all coedecs will be removed if i use the control panel and remove the installed codecs?"

Deleting the associated .ax files will ensure that the codecs are truly removed from the system, but it is very hard to know which .ax file is associated with which codec and deleting the wrong one can cause system instability, hence it is not recommended.

Uninstalling these codecs using Uninstallers/Control Panel routes is the preferred method.

    Regards.
