Converting vcd to wmv

I have some vcd files which would like to convert to wmv files, can anyone tell me how and what programs to use

Two procedures:

Load the file into VirtualDub (It will take a while for the program to parse your VCD "*.dat" file - so be patient).

Select a DivX-AVI compression codec from the "Video" dropdown menu. Also under "Video", select "Full Processing Mode".

Under the "Audio" dropdown menu, also select "Full Processing Mode". Also under "Audio", first click on "Conversion" and select 48,000. Then click on "Compression" and select "No Compression (PCM)".

Under the "File" dropdown menu, select 'Save as AVI" and enter a new filename. This is the end of Process number One.

Load the file into WM8EUTIL (download both the program WM8EUTIL.EXE and WM8EGUI.EXE, the Graphical User Interface ("GUI"). Select your desired settings and a new filename for output. Press "Start" in the GUI.
