    Green Screen

    I am using Tmpgenc and all im trying to do is convert my avi file to a mpeg-2 or even vcd so i can burn , but all i am getting is a green screen thats a mess. ive dowloaded the xvid codec and it didnt help any other suggestions ?

    Yes you are quite correct. I did indeed Encoded the files. I tried to make 2 of them for comparison: one in MSDV AV and the other JUST MS AVI. The Tmpgenc program would only let me encode the MS AVI file. For some reason ONLY the Audio would be encoded with MSDV avi and I would get an error for trying to encode the video. Thank you all for all of your help on this subject.
    I want to let both of you know that I have Dloaded Mainconcepts CODEC and I found a Hack for it to allow me to use MC's codec instead of the Lousy MS Codec.

    I DO Understand the "SETARIPS" statement though.. I Did indeed "Piece" my AVI files together into a Large AVI using Premieres (MS movie export) and Sadly I know I will have to transfer the Video AGAIN because there is nothing I can do once MS codec gets a hold of it

    Ill keep you posted on how things are going with my transfer with MAINCONCEPTS xfer. ANd Ill be sure to take "pieroxy's" Advice to let TMPEGnc encode it to DVD format (m2v+avi)
