green screen

hi everybody.
hi have radlight,divx 5.2,xvid installed and sometimes i get green screen, that freezes everything.
I had ffdshow installed before, but i guess install and uninstalling several divx software could only result on tragic consequences.
i don't know what to do since i uninstall everything and installed radlight,divx5.2 and xvid...and the problem still remains.
Does anyone have some idea of what could be wrong?

I suggest you try reinstalling your video card driver and, if necessary, DirectX.

i don't understand...
why should i reinstall the video card again and directx?

For the reason that a lot of "green screen" problems are often solved by these simple acts. I should actually state "updating to latest drivers" and ensuring that they are of the more reliable WDM type (VxD, which Win9X uses, is just way too shaky).
