Hi, I've been having troubles with some wmv3 files.
When i try to convert the file to divx 5 using virtualdub an error message appears:
ERROR: PROBLEM READING LOG FILE
and:
VirtualDub Error: Cannot start video compression. The source image format is not acceptable (error code -2)

I tried downloading new codecs, using four cc, etc. But i can't convert those files. If some one can help me, please!!!!!!!

I believe that WMV3 is locked into ASF, and will not be editable with VirtualDub. Re-encode the file to MS MPEG 4 v3 using Windows Media Encoder. The resulting file you can either re-encode to Divx, with some quality loss, or you can just use ASFTools to transfer the MSMPEG4V3 to AVI without recompression
