    DV .AVI to DVD problem

    Hi there,

I'm trying to convert a HOME movie "DV" into DVD format.

First i capture my movie whit 1394 "fireware, i-link" onto my Harddisk, then i wane convert the DV .AVI into DVD format ".mpg" and burn it whit my DVD burner on a DVD+RW medium.

After the converting, I see litttle horizontal stripes on the edges on all things that moves on the final DVD .mpg file.
The quality is very bad at least not as good as when i RIP a orginal DVD "2layer" into a "1 layer" DVD format.
Then i don't see such "artifacts" on the edges.

I use Adobe-premiere pro 7.0 and used a few default settings, all whit the same result.

    Thanks for any help.

"I see litttle horizontal stripes on the edges on all things that moves"

Use "TMPGEnc" (Different than "TMPGEnc DVD Author") instead of Premiere to convert the .AVI to DVD compliant format by selecting the "DVD wizard/template". Additionally, from under the "Advanced" tab, place a checkmark next to "Deinterlace", doubleclick on the word "Deinterlace" and select "Even field (adaptation)"

A other question, can you explain why such things happend ??

I capture my movies from DV-tape whit Premiere.

do i have to use some other settings when i capture it whit ilink ?
i ask , because some friend of my don't have the "edge" problem.

Did i capture it whit the wrong "format" ??

Thanks again, and a big kiss, you just own it !!
