    Avi file and OS X

    Hi, guys,

I need some help. I have a DVD as .avi file. I downloaded DivX 5.1 Installer, Vp56 codec and DivX_3.11 Alpha. Nothing worked. I have the audio, not the visual. Screen keeps popping up saying the compressor needed to play this movie is not found. I rebooted many times.

The DivX 5.1 has been installed. Both the vp6 and DivX_3.11 Alpha are on the desktop. No application can be found to install. What should I do in order to play this movie. By the way, it is MP4.

    Thanks.

      Thanks!

Everything is working. However, one DVD has some kind of weird compression, and it is still not playing. All the other .avi files are playing.

Its not only for decoding purposes but its useful for encoding aswell.
