Cannot play divx4.12 video in full screen mode

I am having a problem with an avi video that was decompressed with divx4.12 codec. I am not being to play this video in full screen mode using both zoom player and twins media player - it plays normally in normal mode but when i put it full screen the picture gets distorted and the playback starts sort of lagging (tapping) behind. I have played videos of different codec and had no such problem. The video only plays well with The Playa - why is that why do the other players not work well
I have pentium 3 800 and matrox 32mb video card

Try updateing your video drivers or disable dualhead.
