    Divx movie with no sound

    Hi
i have a divx movie on CD with subtitiles but no sound have loaded it into Virtual Dub and the report says that some of the file is 'unsuportable'. The cd contains MicroDVD setup file.
Also used g spot report attached.

    Thanks.

As i am a newbie please bear with me!

No G Spot report I can see ... but it could be very useful.

      hi
sorry, this is driving me nuts
attached screenshots using the attachment utility
      i used MS WORD doc.
      what should i use?

the movie played ok before i had horrible problems and had to reformat and reinstall xp
unfortunately i have forgotten what brilliant strokeof luck i had in fixing the original problem

      yours in anticipation....

Despite my high number of posts I've never actually got round to posting attachments yet

You G-Spot readout should give something possibly crucial in the lines 'video codec' and 'audio codec'. Look for something stipulating file types.

          hi

          Sorted!

More likely a problem with my eyesight it seems!
i was looking for divx codec when i really needed div3 (an older codec i believe?)

well i haven't pulled out too much hair!

i am sure i will have more questions if i decide to experiment further

          thanks for your help

The view from the top is great!
