Movies recorded to Image stick playback super fast?

I just got the Sony DCR-PC105 and just recorded some footage directly to my 128mb memory stick, looks great. Now when I take it into Adobe Premiere or After Effects to try and reduce the file size for example, whenever I export it as any format, be it the same Mpeg1 or whatever, it plays super fast at least 3 times normal speed. Even in Premier it'll play fast. But playing the file just by clicking on it, it'll be the correct speed. What gives!?! And how can I get it to play normal speed in Premiere and export too?

You have a speed oprion in premiere its probably set to manual
you should set it to automatic.

Thanks for your reply! Can you perhaps tell me what/where this speed setting is? Its related to the clip itself or a general Premiere setting? Im using 6.5 here? Thanks again
