I'm going to attempt to explain exactly what's going on here in the very first post, basically, I've installed the same codec pack everytime, and personally, I believe it to be the best and usually error free; however, I guess I was mistaken because as of late, I had the Kazaa lite Codec Pack installed, and normally everything runs very smoothly. This time though was a different situation, suddenly none of my players worked at all, but instead of being frustrated I decided to uninstall everything I had just installed and retry getting things to work, which I did. So, this is where the strange thing come in, I get everything to work for all my players, and I'm filled with joy and ego for being able to fix everything as usual. My joy and ego were filled too early, because today (3 days after I had everything fixed (or so I thought), I opened up a file in Windows Media Player Version 9. To my dismay the audio didn't work, and it was a video file no less, but the video played. Now, I'm not stupid so instead of freaking out, I tested out multiple avi's, still no sound. In my curiosity I decided to test out mp3's, still, no audio, and finally thinking that it was a decoder error, I went in and checked a wav file, and I found myself very very annoyed, because, not even a wav file would play in my WMP. So I'm hoping that someone has heard of this error at some point or another, and it's just vexing me that I really have no explenation or reason why it shouldn't work. I mean, the files all play fine in every other player. They play fine in VDub, winamp, itunes, bsplayer, zoomplayer, basically anything and EVERYTHING, but it still refuses to work. I would appreciate any explenation/help with this problem. Seeing as it is my first post here, I'm not such a newbie with codecs and video editing (hell, I do music video capping and tons of other stuff), but this is a problem I can not fix. I'd appreciate any help at all.
Thank you very much (in advanced).
Peace.
