    Edit DVDs

    Hello!
I'm new to the site, so if this question has been dealt with previously, please steer me to the right archive.

I have several DVDs that a client wants edited (and put on their website). When I read them in, the files are like:
    .VOB, .BUP, and .IFO.
The IFO files appear to contain the content. However, the applications I have tried (like MovieMaker and WinDVD) aren't able to open the files.

What application should I try to read and edit these videos?

    Thanks!
    Lee M.

"The IFO files appear to contain the content. However, the applications I have tried (like MovieMaker and WinDVD) aren't able to open the files. "

All the DVD related files (.IFO, .BUP, .VOB) MUST reside in a folder named: VIDEO_TS (ALL CAPS) for WinDVD to play the DVD. When that is done, use the "Dropdown" arrow and select "Open DVD from folder" and highlight the VIDEO_TS folder that contains the DVD content.

Rip all of the files using either DVD decrypter, or DVD Shrink (both free)

You have to remove encryption by using software like dvd decrypter or dvd shrink.
