    Divx only playing partly

I recently aquired some DivXs from a local LAN...anyway since ive got home from the LAN none of them work (some only for 20 secs). Ive installed every codec I can find and to no avail..Ive tryed them on Several of my mates computers and the all have the same problem. What really gets me stomped, is that I was able to play them at the LAN. They are on CDs..I was able to watch them on the CDs.....HELP!!!!

    System:

    P 2 - 400
    390 RAM
    G-Force 2 MX-400
    Windows 98
and a whole shit load of media players and codecs

PLEASE HELP ME IN MY TIME OF NEED

A little specificity would be beneficial. If, under Explorer, you righclick on one of the files and select "Properties" and then select "Details", what information is listed there?

OK....I tryed what you said but it was less then promising.

      Fast and the Furious
      -General-
      Type: Video Clip
      Size : 677mb

      -Details-
      Copyright details : None
Media Length :This file is INVALID or Corrupted

OK it looks like that for all of them (except for 1) that one been
      Southpark, Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

Well I dont understand why they are corrupted now... as I said before I was able to plays these like a week ago...I had a system (breakdown if you will) anyway I needed to reinstal 98......

After that I was unable to watch them...I have got so many codecs and players and they all do the same thing...

Man this sounds like a total waste of time but NOONE has been able to solv my problems...please stick with me.

There's nothing else that I can offer, based on the (bad news) info you've obtained from the "Properties" of the videos...

Setarip is probably the expert. So I doubt you'll be able to play the files.

You can try Virtual Dub, see if it plays there. If it plays, you can remove the corrupt frames. You may also want to try divxfix.
