I've got several XviD encoded AVIs with MP3 sound and want to join them. I tried using the append segment feature of VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod, but get an error message saying that the framerates do not match, that one is something like 29.97004 and the other is 29.97000. When I use the frame rate control to set the frame rate of the 29.97004 to 29.97000, it comes out something like 29.96538. Is there a way to normalize framerate?
How can I align framerates to append XviD encoded AVIs?

Thanks setarip, that worked. However, now another error message comes up, saying that the files are not compatible. I checked in VDM File Information and GSpot, and found that the bitrates are slightly different, which is odd since I encoded the two clips at the same time with the same settings. So, I guess the next question is, can that cause a problem with appending, and is there I way that I can somehow align their bitrates, too?Comment

I see, that's what I was afraid of. I think I have AVIJoiner laying around somewhere, so I'll mess around with that for a while. But is it possible that encoding two different videos (in my case from MPGs) with the same XviD/DivX settings would create AVIs with different bitrates? And I wonder if there is a way to avoid that.Comment

It turned out that I didn't have AVIJoiner, but I was able to join the two files with EO Video. Seems to have worked quite nicely.Comment
