I'm trying to reduce the file sizes of rm and wmv files that I'm creating.
I created two AVIs from the same source - one at the normal rate of 30fps, and the other at 15fps. The file size of the lower-rate AVI was half of the higher-rate one.
So I encoded both in real producer and windows media encoder, setting the frame rate at 15fps for the lower-rate AVI.
But the file sizes of the rm and wmv files for both rates are the same. The size of the 15fps version is no lower than the 30fps version!!!
Am I missing something obvious here? Why isn't the size of the 15fps files a lot lower than the 30fps versions?
If that's not the correct way, how can I reduce the size of the files without reducing the bitrate (450kbps)?
