help needed- video lag

i have WMP 6.4, and for some avi/mpeg/wmv files the video plays in slow motion while the audio plays normally, then the video skips to catch up but it always plays in slow motion. Any1 know of a program or something to fix this?

Could be newer compression algorithms - have you tried a newer WMP?
Are you sure you have had probs with all three formats? wmv shouldn't play up being native MS

1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
