    resizing of playback

    Hi all

sorry another newbie, but I have fixed one problem all by myself

The initial problem occurred after I had "backed up" 3 Black Adder DVDs using DVD shrink. Whilst the "backups" were being taken I noticed that the DIVXG400 icon appeared in the system tray.

When I played divx films the playback was upside down and back to front. This I cured myself by fiddling with the flip options in DIVXG400.

However divx films that were in widescreen now seem to have gone full screen (I think that’s what is aspect ratio?) any way I can't seem to get the divx films to play correctly again. The DIVXG400 icon is in the system tray when they are playing.

I have tried playing round with my nVidia settings, and the aspect ratio stuff in DIVXG400. I have also checked ffdshow and all settings are default.

Any body got any ideas please

    Update

Thought I'd be brave and uninstalled DIVXG400, I still had the same problem.

I reinstalled my GK codec pack that hasn't fixed the problem.

The playback is not working in Windows Media Player, or Winamp media player or power DVD

    Any ideas?

I vaguely remember reading that PowerDVD like Windows Media Player, uses DirectShow codecs.
      Have you tried fddshow?
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

        fddshow

I have checked that all the settings are on default. I also then uninstalled both fddshow and DIVXG400, ran system mechanic to get rid of any settings that could be left in the registry etc.. I then tried to view a divx film and the same is happening. I have reinstalled fddshow and DIVXG400 and it has made no difference

        Any more suggestions?
