(i was unsure as to in which forum this post belngs, so i put it in DIVX playback; i'm sorry if i should have posted it elsewhere)
recently i reinstalled windows XP, and since then, every single subtitle file that used to work doesn't work in any player. the problem manifests in wrong subtitle timing and speed. the problem is especially obvious when winding the video.
i tried using crystal player 1.8, bsplayer 1 rc and subtitle renderer for ffdshow. they all have the same problem.
for example, i played a movie in crystal player, manually winded subtitles until i got it right, thinking it was only problem of time offset. however, it soon turned out that speed for subtitles was wrong as well, because within 10 seconds subtitles were far off again.
i tried playing with ffdshow's time offset and speed settings, but without success.
the problem isn't in subtitle files, i am sure of that.
does anyone please know what the problem could be?
i am using windows XP sp1, mentioned players, carefully installed codecs, directx 9 etc.
