can't play audio with windows media V2!

For some reason, all avi files that use the windows media V2 audio codec don't work. I read somewhere that I need to download the "ace mega codecs pack" but downloading from the only site that has it is sooooooooo slow and it keeps cutting me off. Does anyone have the install file and could email it to me? Thanx

used DivX 3.11alpha codec with no success

I went through the posts to see if anyone else asked the same question and he/she was told to download DivX 3.11alpha codec. I did that and the file still won't play, is there anything else I should try?

in the microsoft codec update specifications it is told that this audio codec would be installed too, so check it out:

Did you install it properly? (For some versions of the 3.11 codec you have to rightclick on a .INF file and then run the "RunMeFirst" file from the desktop).
