    Strange Playback Problems

I can play pretty much all XVID files but there is this one file...it's split into 2 and I only have one part as of now.

At first when I tried to play using the latest XVID codec, it would play two seconds then quit and give me an error no matter what player I used.

I changed to fourCC to DIVX and then it played but the video was messed up.

I then downloaded ffdshow and it seemed to start to play then just reverted to looking all retarded again and blurry.

Is this a problem with this one file becuase others have had the same problems with it. I can't play in in vdub either.

Would the fact that it was probably encoded a while ago have anything to do with the problem? I've tried every codec combo I can think of.

    Thanks

Open the Xvid file in "VirtualDubMod". Go to "File" > "File Information" and post (or post a screen capture) of everything that is listed in both the video and audio sections of the dialog box. Alternatively, you could use a program called "GSpot" also.
