After a lot of searches, it appears clear that with the QT plug-in, I should be able to open an MOV file with the encoder. I downloaded the file QTreader.vfp into the folder with Express. It doesn't make any difference; when I go to open an .mov file, it is not on the supported list at the bottom of the dialog. If I select "all files" and select the .mov file, I get a "cannot open" message. Now this isn't your usual mov file, as it is a converted Powerpoint file with narration, but it seems to play fine on the QT player. Why won't the encoder open this file?
