DivX for PSX/PSone

Is there a divx player for the sony playstation? i have heard rumors of this but i have never seen anything! It would probably use the serial port or a chip. Hell, maybe even a boot cd! thanks.

I doubt it. The PS was never designed to play DivX clips and it's getting long in the tooth too in terms of CPU speed.

The only adapter I know of for the PSX/PSone is for playing VCD's (Video CD). It was also a cheat card etc.

note that only uncompressed AVI files may be support

This will require far more harddisk space than you're probably prepared to get, especially for full-length movies.

I'de have to find a small game, delete the crap on it and replace say the intro with my newly created PSX movie. Not too bad of an idea especially since the PSX format movie don't look too shabby (at least the ones that come with the game!). Thanks!
