Converting Protected WMV to other format

Hi I have a wmv that needs to be authenticated every time I want to play it but the problem is more like an incovenience because it requires me to connect to the internet, so I want to know if there is a way to convert this file to mpg avi or other form without a huge increase in the file and reduction of quality.

    Hello,

    Carlos, all is always possible.
Certainly, your problem must resolve to the basis.
First make a real research on the file with an utilitarian of Gspot type, videotoolbox or avicodec.
Thus, you will know then if you can download the concerned codec, or to conduct the conversion of your file.

Don't disregard all possibilities. it often arrives that the answer is no far from oneself

downloading a codec or trying to convert won't help you much, since the converters can't decode the DRM. Unless, Quada you are suggesting that someone used a Windows Media SDK to make a program that accepts DRM files, and lets you convert to another format. That sure would be nice. But as long as DRM is there, it won't help to download a codec or convert it.
