Codec Misconfigured???

In GSpot it shows my video codec is misconfigured, how do I make it right and play the file?

I've tried to install the latest Xvid 1.0.1 codec, but I couldn't install it (16 bit ms dos subsystem error) I also tried to install ffshadow but after installation, I couldn't play any of the avi files (media player encounters a problem & need to be closed) and I couldn't open the ffshadow configuration or anything.

Have you tried to see with an other utilitarian as: Videotoolbox, avicodec.

Besides, I can advice you to uninstall all your codecs and to install that one packs codec:

it is not counsel always.But you will see all will go for best.
