    AVI to DVD

    Hi Group,
I have some AVI files I wish to convert to DVD format with DVD2SVCD.
When loading the AVI and selecting preview video I get the error report: YV12 width must be multiple of 4.
What proggy will convert width to multiple of 4 so I can author my DVD?

    Thanks in advance,
    Clanser

    Hello,

Would not your problem come of your file video?
Give a more of details on your AVI file while using an utilitarian video: Gspot, Videotoolbox or Avicodec .

    Bye

Use the "Resize" filter in either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD...

        Resizing

        Thanks Setarip,
Virtual Dub worked perfectly to resize some of my files.
These files where resizing worked ok were resized before converting audio to wav-vir dub also picked up bitrate errors on them but I was keen to try the resizing so ignored that problem till later.
Another question,am using vir dub mpeg2 and converted avi audio to wav, before resizing, as vir dub detected bitrate problems and now have a working avi with wav audio.
I wish to resize the video now as you described but vir dub wants to create a 33 gig file after resizing-the original avi is only +- 800 Meg.
What could the problem be here?
I tried to re encode the audio with mp3 to test if the resizing would work then but vir dub gives me an "audio compression manager failure"
Several codecs are listed under the audio compression section in vir dub and select ok but I get this error report when saving avi.
Should I re install codecs or what could be causing this error.
I have Tsunami filter pack installed but not all codecs have been installed-only the more common ones.
        Pls anyones help appreciated.
        Thanks,
        Clanser

          Big movie file

          Hi Chaps,
I figured out why the file size is so big- Vir Dub is converting the video to uncompressed RGB as well as resizing.
what must the compression settings be to resize only, the video is already compressed and I don't want to compress further!
Also, found another MP3 option under audio and using that vir dub processes audio ok-I don't know why the other mp3 option does not work!
          Regards Clanser
