Hiya!
I am new here and pretty darn desperate.....I have gotten a movie from a friend which is an xvid file. It plays fine in some players, not at all in others, and it is always toodark.
In BSPlayer it is jerky (audio and video) and dark
In Windows Media Player it plays fine, but it is dark, and I can't adjust the brightness or contrast. Clicking on the "Mpeg 4 decoder" thingie doesn't give me any slider to adjust anything
In Windows Media Player 9 it plays, and sometimes I can adjust the brightness, but if I do so, I can't adjust the size anymore. If I change into full screen mode after adjusting brightness or anything, the picture suddenly appears in the left bottom corner on the screen, and the rest is black, no fullscreen mode at all.
If I don't adjust the brightness, it works fine in fullscreen, but is so dark that I can't see a thing. Also, now that I tried again, I can't adjust anything anymore.
DiVx Player doesn't play the file at all, neither does Power DVD.
According to GSpot I have all the required codecs, but still can't view the movie...(((((....HELP????
Thanks in advance,
San
