Since installing Windows XP SP2, my version of Premiere (6.01) will not play back from the timeline. Before anyone suggests it - my system restore won't roll back (don't ask me why)!
Playback from 'Print to video' and 'Export to tape' are both fine, but I can't play directly from the timeline in editing mode. I have my prefs set to playback on DV deck, which used to work fine.
I have also:
-Defragged my HD. Read/write speed roughly 20Mbps, so no probs there
- Reset premiere prefs
- Reinstalled premiere
- Checked for any other processes that shouldn't be running
Occassionally I get the odd frame rendered out, but that's all. It's as if the 1394 is being used by another process at the same time. Networking on this port is not enabled. As I mentioned, whatever it is doesn't affect 'print to video' mode which works just fine.
Any help gratefully received!
