audio wont playback

Hey, i downloaded a xvid movie, its a dvdrip. The audio of the movie wont play, only the video does, please help

A DVDRip, by definition, is a pirated copy of an original DVD, and hence, against the forum rules (rule 6):

As for your problem, it could be a problem with missing audio codecs - you can download and run GSpot to find out which audio codec your video file uses, and then download and install the codec (search Google):

No sound

Help! I am a newbie and am trying to import VHS family movies and/or TV programs to play back latter. I can capture the video and the sound plays during capture. But when I play it back I don't have any sound.

I have both Pinnacle Studios V9 and Roxio DVD Creator and an ATI Radeon video capture card on a P4 computer. This happens in both programs.

I have read and read the forum and have not been able to find this thread. Please point me in the right direction.
