    Uncompressed avi's too big

I use Camtasia to record my screen & I want the final movies to be encoded with the Sorenson 3 codec. I'm going to use these files in Macromedia Director. To do this I have to bring the files into Quicktime Pro and export to the quicktime format with Sorenson 3 as video codec. To get the quality i need, i save them as uncompressed avi's with Camtasia. This of course, leads to extremely large files. A couple of them were 10-12 GB & opened just fine in QT. But once they're around 15GB+, they just wont open; not in QT & not in Sorenson Squeese. Does anybody know how I can solve this?

Save as TWO smaller uncompressed .AVIs initially. Convert with Sorenson codec - THEN join in QuickTimePro...

Thanks for replying. The problem with that suggestion is that the videos are gonna be learning videos, and I'm gonna be talking a whole lot + the uncompressed files will be almost 100GB; which would mean a whole lot of stopping and starting of the recording. Probably every 3 minutes. It would be a pain in the ass to achieve a natural flow to the final video.

Some would say that such a pain is better than no solution at all and not being able to accomplish your task...
