    Audio Problems with NON-AC3 files

Hi everyone, I've got a problem with audio during playback on NON-AC3 DivX/XviD files.

Everything was working fine until I "upgraded" to Media Player 10. It's been a nightmare since then.

AC3 encoded movies play fine. Anything else has really strange garbled/clipped audio and a bit of video slowdown. Remember what it sounds like when a cassette player eats your tape? It's very similar. This happens specifically with the loud/peak volume areas. Everything sounds "strained", staticy and the pitch sounds a bit off.

I've tried everything I know to do. I've rolled back to Media Player 9, reinstalled media player codecs, uninstalled media player completely and reinstalled 9, reinstalled ffdshow, divx codec etc to no avail.

PowerDVD plays these files OK, but I'd like to get everything working through Zoomplayer or BSPlayer again.

Any ideas? Any help would be really appreciated.
