well, this is my problem.
I live in australia and bought a standalone dvd
player (panasonic RV40) thinking it would play
cd-r vcd's because i looked on the net at some
reviews and it apparently had cd-r and mp3
support. Well the reviews i looked at were from
the US and UK, stupid me! The Aussie version
has for some strange reason had all that support
removed, it is more than capable of playing cd-r
media but on insertion of the disk it must check
for cd-r media, it wont even play burnt music cd's
.I tried a little experiment and i have
got a original vcd and it plays fine so i burned a copy,
it still didnt work so then i opened the player up, put
in the genuine vcd and started playing then paused it
and swapped the disks with the exact cd-r version
and it then continued playing! But the swap trick is no
good because i must have the exact original to swap it
with. so if anyone can help me with this problem i would
be very greatfull.
