dvd recorder to pc..? READ THIS!!

I`m using a phillips dvd recorder. my problem is that I dont know how to get the video to my computer in the right format and the right size! I used dvd decrypter to send the files to my computer, but i dont know how to ripp them to the right size!

Someone that can help me??
