problems with playback on pioneer divx player

i have just recently purchased a pioneer divx player and every divx movie i play in it plays jerky. On the pc the play fine, but just as soon as i burn them on cd and play them in the divx player the play terrible. Is there anyway of adjusting divx movies so they play well in the divx player???

    Thanks

    1) Load the original DivX-compressed .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Does the BURNED CD play properly on your PC?

          1) Your file is XviD-encoded and NOT DivX-encoded. It may simply be that your Pioneer player can't handle some aspect(s) of XviD encoding (such as QPEL) very well.

          2) Your XviD_compressed .AVI was encoded in PAL format, that is to say, 25.000fps. If you live in Great Britain, that should playback properly. If you are elsewhere, perhaps the U.S., this could account for the "jerky" playback...

is there anyway of fixing that by changing the framerate?
