no Dolby 2.0 within TMPgenc XPress

    Hi,

i love this TMPGenc XPress but even with installed AC3 plugin, there´s no way of transcoding movies to simple Dolby 2.0 or Dolby 2.0 Surround. How comes? Only see a stereo, joined stereo, PCM and AC3 opportunity there....

    greetings

"Dolby 2.0 or Dolby 2.0 Surround"

Both of these formats, as well as 5.1, are created in .AC3 audiostreams...

      Hi setarip,

thanks for answering. But you lost me...
      AC3 plugin for TMPGenc
Thanks to it, it is possible to decode and encode in
Dolby® Digital (AC-3) 2ch audio. Dolby Digital with 5.1 channels or other multi-channel sources cannot be encoded .
So, allright then. If my film is encoded in Dolby digital 2.0 will it play on a surround hi-fi in Dolby 2.0 also? I read here that using different programs and tricks its possible to encode into D2.0. Is the player doing this splitting job while playing?

Did i understand you right in that point, that this D2.0 belongs to multichannel encoding/decoding and because of that its not supported and its a digital format, too?

      wired format...pleaze help
