    TiVoToGo

    Are there any places in this Forum where people are talking about using TiVoToGo with other software than Sonic's?

    Thanks.

      Converting .tivo files with Sonic MyDVD 6.1 to DVD files (or ISOs) takes an eternity. What other software have people used?

      Anything to turn TiVo mpegs into DVD compliant mpegs, including audio properly synched? I tried Tmpgenc, but it is too complex for my knowledge level.

      Ideally something which takes the TiVo file, transcodes it and writes out ISOs or DVD folders, but does it in a reasonable amount of time; by reasonable I use DVDShrink as a basis for comparison for the time it takes to shrink a DVD and write the ISO/DVD folders (adjusting for time/filesize of TV show.)

        Try using "AVSVideoConverter"

              When I select the TiVo file as input, I get an error which says the input file is damaged or fomat not supported. Can this program open TiVo files?

                It appears that you may have a "Corrupt" file. See if you are able to run the file(s) through a repair utility such as "Vcdgear".

                    TivoToGo // Some Useful Sites on Conversion

                    Here are some useful links I found while looking.
                    I hope they help.

                      What is TiVoToGo and what is this web page? Chances are, if you made it to this site you know what TiVoToGo is. Just in case you need a refresher TTG is a service which allows you to extract television recordings from your networked stand-alone TiVo device to your Windows PC for personal, noncommercial ... Thank you, but it sounds like there isn't a simple, straightforward and efficient way to do this...at this point anyway.

                      I wonder why it takes relatively so much longer for a program like MyDVD to transcode the .tivo file compared to something like DVD Shrink which transcodes whole DVDs in a fraction of the time?

                        Hi HDTivo,
                        Dan203's method seems to be working aside from the fact I can't shrink a file.
                        Videoredo->output a VOB
                        DVDStyler->add menu & output a ISO image
                        DVDDecripter to burn

                        NO TRANSCODING!!!
