    Editor recomendations

    Hi guys,
Can any of you recomend a decent AVI editor? What I am after is a package that will allow me to view the AVI frame-by-frame and delete any of those frames (e.g. by clicking on one, then shift-click on another to select them for deletion or copy).

And a copy and paste facility so that I can view the avi frame-by-frame and select sections and paste them into a new AVI. e.g. several selections from the same avi all pasted into a new one.

Also the ability to add watermarks or layers (e.g. a copyright notice etc).

I believe AVI-Edit has some of these features? It crahsed the second time I tried to use it and has screwed itself up in the registry which I am trying to untangle.

Any recomendations you guys can provide are greatly appreciated.

Really? Son-of-a-gun. I only use the thing for seperating audio of converting fps. Shows my ignorance. Thanks for the info Setarip.

I tried using the Solveig MM AVI trimmer to chop off the first six seconds of one of my videos (XviD), and it did nothing. I tried trimming ten seconds, it worked, but far more than I want off. I don't think I'm really doing anything wrong... Do I need to find another program? Well, at least with the simplicity of Solveig AVI Trimmer? I do also like free stuff .

Like most such programs, it probably requires that you cut on keyframes only...
